There's some lazy animating and/or I-don't-want-to-make-a-perfect-animation-out-of-this here and there, so it's not great (I realized the pause in the jump is shorter than I intended it to be, now that I've stared at it for 5 minutes), but I think this'll better show what I meant by "gravity." Maybe.

Think of tossing a stereotypical ball in the air. It decelerates on the way up, seems to pause for a moment, then accelerates on the way down. Same idea goes for other objects like bodies (usually).

Exaggeration of movements can help sometimes. : p

Furthermore, the feet sometimes appear to slide around when they're supposed to be planted in the ground. Try to keep 'em roughly at the same place on the stage (eg. like the back foot around frames 19-34 in my .fla) unless it'd make sense for them to be shuffling their feet to adjust their stance or somethin'. Skewing doesn't always solve problems.

(The .swf is playing at 20 FPS, not 24 FPS, for easier watching. A lil' FYI just in case y'thought it looks a bit slow. I highly recommend slowly playing through the .fla with a mouse instead of only watching the resulting .swf though.)

I'm sending my edited .fla to you via Skype. Hopefully you'll get it. Then y'can see what I meant by "frame-by-frame tweaking" as well.

Cheers, mate. I really wondered if you were so bogged down with school and such that y'just disappeared off the face of the digital world.
Sounds fun though. Whatcha gonna major in? And what're you going to do with the rest of your holidays? : o
Me, I've been making a comeback to Twitter (and hopefully dA) since summer's here, even though I have summer courses. ; Pretty much the same old stuff as a year ago, hah.
